My Hubby, My Hero

Yesterday my husband surprised me with a wonderful new toy - a laptop computer! I was so thrilled to get it. The only computer I have access to is the one at work, and I can't use it during the day because I am working. (is it appropriate to put the word "duh" in here?..) I told him out of the blue one day that I would love to have a laptop computer - just for me. Viola! He is so amazing to me. So now I can access Facebook and other "stuff" at night when I am home sitting with my hubby.

You know - our relationship has had it's ups and downs for many years, just like any other couples. He may be a "preacher", but he is still human. Our marriage has been the topic of many prayers and petitions and tears for years. But God is good, and he has done a wonderful work both in him and in me. And now, just shy of our 30th anniversary (in August), our relationship is better than it has ever been. Tho I have always seen him as a hero, he has now become more. He is a true Christ-like example to me.

It seems like we are both 'getting' it! The blinders have come off both of us, and we see so much more than we have ever seen before. God is so good. Even in the bad times, tho we don't see it so much at that time. God has used our ups and downs to reach out and minister to others, and if God can use what we went thru for that purpose, then Praise the Lord and i am glad we went thru it! Much as I would love to hear God say "it's ok honey - life is all about YOU - do what ever you want", I know that is not the case. There are so many hurting people, and I am put here to minister to them with God's hands and God's love. To touch and help and heal. I just want to hear God say one day "Well done, my good and faithful servant".
