Today's ray of sunshine

The wind is blowing and the skies are dark with clouds. Tornado watches were just issued. But in spite of it all, my ray of sunshine comes from Abigail today. Last night her mommy called me because "Abigail just wanted to check on Gwandma". She makes me smile! And according to the Dr., we will soon have another little one to hold and love. I can't wait!

A New Day

My family, who have anointed me with the name "technologically impaired", will be shocked to see that I have a blog! I am quite surprised myself, but wanted to participate in a blog with other minister wives I found through a web site, The Preachers Wife. So bear with me, and here we go!

My blog is called The Sunshine Patch in honor of my children, Elizabeth, Jonathan and Christina, and my granddaughter, Abigail. I have always called my children "My Sunshine", and now Abigail, my almost 4 year old "about to become a big sister" granddaughter calls me her Sunshine too! She makes me melt with pride, love and adoration whenever I see her, just as Idid with her mommy 27 years ago. While being a ministers wife has been a blessing with it's ups and downs, being a grandmother, to this point anyway, has been a tremendous "high" for me. Wow - it just doesn't get better than this! Our relationship has helped me to see God's love for me in a new light. It is a whole sermon in itself!
